Ok This is overall the best special effects, and you have to see the uncensored version. Its got lots of blood at specific moments, but the only real action is at the end.

Overall the “villains” of the movie like other Romero films, arent the zombies, which are more like wild animals, but humans.

The Climax has probably the best zombie gore youll ever see.

Dont watch the Day of the Dead remake EVER. Spoilers, it has running, ceiling and wall running zombies. I think the only possible reason to watch it is because Ving Rhames is in it.

Day is one of my favorites (Dawn is my absolute favorite). If you ever come across the original script that Romero wrote for Day of the Dead, which the studio didn’t let him make for what ever reasons it’s 10x better. Im sure you can find it if you search around.

I honestly was surprised I actually enjoyed the Day of the Dead remake even though it was in no way tied to the original. It reminded me a bit of Flight of the Living Dead with a touch of Planet Terror thrown together in a blender of gore. of course it has running zombies (a big no no for zombie purists like me) but all in all it was a fun action packed gorey good time. The remake is a remake in name only. It does have zombies in it, but that’s about as far as the resemblance to the original Day goes. It’s really an awful direct-to-video flick, and not one I recommend seeing.

I ended up fast-forwarding through a lot of it, which is something I hardly ever do. It wasn’t even worth a scathing review. Of course, if you do check it out I’d be interested in hearing your opinion.

Yeah, I’m going back and forth on whether or not to watch the remake. I know it’s going to be a supreme disappointment compared to the original, but they usually are.

You should rewatch this movie though if you get a chance. It was a lot better than I remembered it.

This was probably my least favorite film as well, but it’s been years since I’ve seen it. I kind of liked it back then. Perhaps I should watch it again.

One thing is for sure- the recent “remake” (in name only) of Day of the Dead with Mena Suvari and Ving Rhames should be avoided at all costs.
