Hey,

SPOILER ALERT

Actually, the funny thing is that the stories are pretty much the same between the original dub (Ninja Wars) and the sub. For the most part, they kept the names the same, too.

The main reason I can see people being confused is because they actually cut the ending short in "Ninja Wars"; although I'm not exactly sure why, my guess is that they didn't want to show the credits (in Japanese), or the lovey dovey song that plays at the end. To summarize, they cut the movie short with Jotaro jumping onto the flaming cross, and Kasshin Koji saying something cryptic and laughing at him, rather than his "Love sucks" comment; up until I saw the subtitled version, I thought Jotaro and Ukio Dayo basically just died together. It was kind of a nice surprise to see the real ending, it made more sense!

And I still have no idea where Jackie Chan is in the movie, or if that was just an urban myth.

Well, it was Ninja Week. But it's always Ninja Week in our hearts.

Heck, I just watched "The Executioners" with Sonny Chiba (as a surprisingly whiny but still kick-ass ninja) last night.

Yeah, we were thinking of in the future doing a comparison between the subbed and dubbed versions. I have a feeling this would be one of those movies where the storylines barely resemble each other.

This sounds like it would be a good candidate for watching dubbed with the subtitles on. Sometimes the storylines between the two are *completely different*, and it makes you think that they weren't so much taking liberties as they were just drunk and making things up as they went along.

Lurples last blog post..<a href="http://lurple.com/content/bruges" rel="nofollow">In Bruges</a>
