Evil Spawn
Growing old gracefully... That doesn't seem to happen any more these days. Everyone wants to get some kind of surgery for this, or get some kind of injection for that. Millions of doses of Botox are given each year just to make people feel younger and therefore better about themselves. Lynn Roman (Bobbie Bresee) doesn't want to be one of those people. As a Hollywood actress, she just wants to stay working in an industry that doesn't see her age as an asset.

"Recovered Footage" horror movies are seemingly becoming more and more popular in the last few years (The Last Exorcism, Paranormal Activity, The Blair Witch Project, etc.). Posing themselves as documentary footage, they are usually pretty effective at capturing the realism of the event, and they provide us with a first hand account of what the characters are going through during each particular event of the film. [REC] is another in that line of film making, and it proves itself to be very effective at scaring your friggin pants off.
Shocker
Wes Craven is considered one of the "Masters of Horror", and his pedigree certainly lives up to that title. With films like Last House on the Left, and the A Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream (he didn't write Scream, only directed) series under his belt, you can almost expect any film bearing his name will surely be good, and at the very least entertaining. With all that in mind, let's take a look at his 1989 film Shocker
Slumber Party Massacre II
Every night while she sleeps, Courtney Bates has dreams of her friends and mom dying at the hands of a maniacal, laughing, leather clad dude that sporting a guitar with a giant drill bit on the end. She's had the dreams for years, and it sent her older sister Kim to a mental institution, because she just couldn't handle it anymore. Courtney has been able to deal with the pressure, but that's only because of her awesome all girl rock band, and great friends. She's going to be going away with those friends for her birthday, but little does she know that this will turn into a Slumber Party Massacre... II!
