I think it’s safe to say that the goal of this website is to find some of the funniest, off the wall, crazy, “holy shit, what did I just watch” movies out there. Sometimes you come across great stuff, like Undefeatable, The Stabilizer or The Room, and then sometimes you find horrible crap like Cocaine Cowboys, Zombie Vs. Ninja or Attack of the Slime People. And then… there’s Birdemic. Let’s take a look at our last movie of 31 Days of Horror, shall we?
I finally got a chance to see Expendables today. It’s a movie I’ve been excited about for a long time, but scheduling conflicts and the fact that most of my friends didn’t believe it would be any good meant I waited about a month after opening to see it on my day off. Well let me just say my friends were completely wrong! If you’ve read any of the reviews for it most people point to a weak plot, old actors, and something that has been done over and over again…. So what’s wrong with that?!? This movie is a throwback to the 80s action flick where everything explodes, dialogue is cheesy, and arms are broken like beer bottles at a frat party! I couldn’t have been happier with the turnout even if the aging actors made me briefly think about my own age. But that thought quickly faded as I watched a pirate’s body getting ripped in half by Dolph Lundgren’s shotgun! On with the show…
For this week’s Trailer Tuesdays, we have the Trailer for the 1980 Umberto Lenzi film “Nightmare City”.
This is an UNCUT trailer for Nightmare City and may be NSFW
Nightmare City is an action/horror movie about scabby faced radioactive zombies who emerge from a plane using guns, knives and anything else you can use as a weapon in order to take over the city. The government withholds information from the public so that they might possibly be able to use these zombies as soldiers in their army. Reporter Dean Miller is trying to get his wife to safety, while government officials are trying to recover their own families and get them into secret bunkers so they can be kept away from these killing machines before it’s too late.
Nightmare City or “Incubo sulla città contaminata” as it’s known in Italy, was only the 3rd movie that we reviewed and you can check it out here
You would think that guns were a new invention in the 80’s, especially considering all the action movies where the plot revolved around some kind of “SUPERGUN!!!~!” Prime examples of this are Equalizer 2000, and to a lesser extent, Blastfighter. These are the types of guns that people kill for, and in the right hands they’re strong enough to change the outcome of a war. Well, you can add Rapid Fire to the list of movies revolving around a gun, and in this case, it’s a multi-purpose gun that fires 3 different kinds of rounds – shotgun, machine gun or grenades – depending on which barrel is active. Oh, and one more thing, if you don’t know the secret code, you’ll be on the receiving end of an asswhippin’ yourself. Continue reading “Rapid Fire”
