Angel of Fury (aka Triple Cross)

angel title 300x192 Angel of Fury (aka Triple Cross)

Here at IB.net we seem to be finding and watching a lot of movies from Indonesian cinema. They really love flicks with a lot of karate, gun fights, and . We’ve also reviewed a few Cynthia Rothrock movies in the last few months. So it was a treat to find her in an Indonesian movie… and if that wasn’t good enough, we found one with the god of action faces, Peter O'Brian! These 3 are a staple of cheesy action films. Needless to say we had very high hopes for Angel of Fury, the 1991 film by Rambu (aka The Intruder) and The Stabilizer writer Deddy Armand. Wait a minute it’s called Angel of Fury… didn’t we just review a movie called Angel of Fury with ? Yes we did, but that is a different one if you can believe that!

Pranks (aka The Dorm that Dripped Blood)

pranks 3 Pranks (aka The Dorm that Dripped Blood)

A group of 5 students stay away at college for winter break to help clean out an old dorm before it's demolition.  While all the other students are off skiing with their buddies or going over grandma's house for Christmas, these guys are there to clean up the old kitchen, take out the beds, and clear out desks.  Little do they know that some doesn't want them to get the job done, and strange happenings occur.  Is it the weird fuzzy headed resident, digging through the trash and avoiding them at all costs?  Is it the maintenance man who keeps asking about his missing drills, and likes to hang out in elevator shafts?  Maybe it's the creepy guy that's supposed to pay for and pick up all the old desks?  Or maybe... just maybe, it's one of the students themselves?  One thing is certain, and that is that there are some murderous Pranks going on.

The Barbarians

the barbarians The Barbarians

In the days of my youth, my sister and I would rent videos every weekend.  Some of our favorites were / movies, and particularly those that existed in the realm of - like Red Sonja, Conan the Barbarian or Beastmaster.  We always scoped out which ones looked the worst, and thanks to just about everything being released on VHS those days, there were a lot of movies to go around.  One movie I never got to see was 1987's The Barbarians, starring the ridiculously well built (David Paul and Peter Paul), aka The Barbarian Brothers, where they play the titular (I always wanted to use that word... Titular...) Barbarians.

Slaughter High

slaughter high Slaughter High

Ahh, .  Parties, babes, booze - the best times of our lives, or at  least that's how it's portrayed in all those teen comedies from the .  Really, it's full of cliques: The popular kids, the Jocks, the Preps, the , the Goths, and a lot of those groups mixed up somewhere in between.  Slaughter High plays mostly on the popular kids versus the nerds stereotypes but throws a bit of a twist on top for something a little different.
