Gymkata
Gymnastics and martial arts, sounds like the perfect mix. You could be doing a back flip and kick some dude in the cherries, or maybe do some crazy cartwheel and become a windmill of kicks and punches. Maybe you could even be a world champion gymnast with a mullet and become the best hope for the SIA (the Special Intelligence Agency, of course) to compete in a deadly game that could influence the fate of the world! Maybe not, but it makes for an interesting if not comical film by acclaimed martial arts film director Robert Clouse, 1985's GYMKATA!
Lady Dragon 2 (aka Angel of Fury)
Sometimes we watch movies that were so forgettable that it doesn't really seem worth writing 1000 words about them. I had an experience with one of those types of movies recently - the Cynthia Rothrock film "Lady Dragon 2" aka "Angel of Fury" - not to be confused with the OTHER Cynthia Rothrock movie called Angel of Fury with Peter O'Brian, which I'm sure is totally awesome. Unfortunately, this Angel of Fury is just plain awful.
American Ninja
A G.I. with a mysterious past rescues the Colonel's daughter Patricia (Judie Aronson), when his convoy comes under attack from ninjas. While fighting the ninjas, the G.I. - Joe Armstrong (played by Michael Dudikoff) fends off the ninja force in impressive fashion, leading the head Ninja, Black Star Ninja (Tadashi Yamashita) to believe that he has some extraordinary skill, and may be a ninja himself.
