Puppet Master 3 – Toulon’s Revenge
Puppet Master 3 - Toulon's Revenge is actually a prequel to the first 2 movies both set in America. Although the dates are skewed a bit (1 takes place in 1939), this one takes place in Berlin in 1941. A Lieutenant in Hitler's army attends Andre Toulon's puppet show and isn't too happy with the material, namely the fact that a Hitler puppet is the butt of all the jokes. Lt. Stein confronts Toulon (Guy Rolfe) and tries to get information about how he is able to make his puppets move without strings. He takes some pictures of the puppets without Toulon knowing and reports it back to his superior, Major Krauss (Richard Lynch). Krauss and Dr. Hess (Ian Abercrombie) have been working on a way to reanimate dead German soldiers for help against the Russian army. Unfortunately things haven't been going too well and they believe Toulon's work may hold the key.
Puppet Master 2
If you haven’t had a chance to read my review for the first Puppet Master you probably should before continuing. The original story leads into number two so it’s kind of important. It’s been a few years since the puppets rebelled against Neil and killed him. This time a few paranormal researchers and an old ghost hunter (Camille) arrive at the Bodega Bay Inn to investigate the strange events that seem to plague this place! They are following some pretty crazy claims from a mental patient named Alex Weather. Alex just happens to be the only person left from the group of psychics who came to the inn before. The only other survivor was the owner of the inn Megan Gallagher, and after we found out she was the true puppet master she was brutally murdered by having her brain extracted through her nose! So now who is the master?
Puppet Master (1989)
Puppets! Sometimes cute, always terrifying! It doesn’t matter if they are the creepy looking life like puppets or the funny ones employed by Jeff Dunham in his comedy/ventriloquism routine. There is just something about puppets that weirds me out, and I think a lot of people feel the same way. Even when they are just sitting there you half expect them to sneak up behind you and shove a knife in your back. In the end most are harmless, but how cool would it be to be able to control some puppets, or at least have them as buddies. They could get you things, scare away Jehovah’s Witnesses, and even kill people who piss you off… oh to dream! Well dream no longer because Andre Toulon (William Hickey) has the secret of turning inanimate objects into life-like creatures with a soul!
