One day you’re sitting in a tree smoking a cigarette, thinking about how you’re gonna jump the broken down old bridge at Elkin’s Grove.  The next day you’re fighting off some huge unrelenting pink pile of ooze that just spread into town.  “How did you get here” you might ask yourself.  If you’re Brian Flagg (Kevin Dillon), you’d probably be asking yourself the exact same thing.  Life was so easy just being a juvenile delinquent.  Now you’re just trying to survive The Blob. Let Me In

I’m always skeptical of new horror movies that I see in the theater.  Very rarely do they have the scariness or “Oh DAMN” factor that I’m looking for; and I’ve yet to come across anything with a story that engulfed me and actually made me take a step back and think about how meaningful a movie can be… until now!  Let Me In is a remake of the Norwegian movie titled Let the Right One In.  Normally remakes of any kind are garbage, but if you prefer to be 100% in the dark about the movie let me just say that every horror movie fan NEEDS to see this, and preferably in the theater!

Clash of the Titans (1981)

There aren’t too many people I talked to that didn’t remember watching the original Clash of the Titans from 1981.  Most didn’t remember a whole lot about it, but they at least remembered seeing it.  It’s a fantastical story about mortals and Gods, but it was shot at the end of an era.  It was one of the last big budget Hollywood movies which used all stop-motion photography.  Most movies after that moved on to the high-tech area of CGI.  With the release of the new Clash of the Titans, which I reviewed a few weeks ago at We’re Running Out Of Time, I decided to take a look back to the movie which spawned more than a few video games we know and love!
