Kamillions

The story for Kamillions is very simple: A scientist has been working on opening a portal to another dimension, and today on his 50th birthday (and coincidentally while his family prepares a birthday party for him), he succeeds. In this other dimension, he sees lifeforms that resemble horseshoe crabs moving around and he notes the activity of these crabs. After the window on his portal machine thing breaks, the scientist Dr. Nathan Wingate (Harry S. Robins) gets sucked into this other dimension, and two of these crab creatures jump out. These crab like creatures have the ability to replicate itself into the image any living body it can come into contact to, or can see (now you can figure out how they got the title). All of this craziness happens as the guests are arriving, and any of the guests are prime targets for this mighty morphin spectacular.
Trailer Tuesdays: Scanners
For this week's Trailer Tuesday, we bring you the trailer for the 1981 David Cronenberg film SCANNERS
Scanners is a good mix of Sci-Fi and Horror/Suspense from the master David Cronenberg, and features the infamous exploding head clip that you've probably seen all over the internet. Check out our review of Scanners and find out more about the ConSec plot to take over the world with their telekinetic army.
Trailer Tuesdays: Mutant Hunt
We dig deep in the our Sci-Fi vault to bring you this week's Trailer Tuesday... 1987's Mutant Hunt
So after some in-depth analysis, what can we say about this week's trailer?
- Robots and Cyborgs are interchangeable terms, and in this case they aren't programmed to be violent or attack people
- Somebody is feeding these cyborgs some drugs that are mutating them into ruthless killers of mostly scantily clad women.
- Matt Riker is a mercenary that's gonna stop these crazy robot/zombies from breaking apart cheap shelves and surgical tubing. Oh, and stop them from killing people too, or something.
Also, an interesting tidbit about the director, Tim Kincaid: He's also a very accomplished gay erotica movie writer and director! But besides that, the films he's made that are not adult in nature are fine z-grade trash in their own right. I have a feeling we'll be going to the Tim Kincaid well frequently in the future...
As always, keep your eyes peeled on InternalBleeding for an upcoming review of Mutant Hunt!
Trailer Tuesdays: Star Crystal
In this week's edition of Trailer Tuesdays is STAR CRYSTAL
So watching the trailer, what can we deduct about Star Crystal?
- It looks like it has something to do with Mars, or a red planet.
- Some people find an egg or a rock and take it aboard their ship.
- The egg hatches and turns into a slimy ET looking alien and kills them.
Made in 1986, I'm guessing that Star Crystal is one of the many Alien ripoffs, and I'm looking forward to bringing you all the review in the upcoming weeks. Gotta love that cheesy 80's sci-fi!
