Christmas Evil (aka You Better Watch Out)
Trying to find a Christmas movie that fits the theme of this site can be a daunting task. Last year I think we actually came across some of the better ones like Santa With Muscles and Silent Night Deadly Night. This year we had to dig a little deeper into our bag of goodies to find a different twist on the Santa Slasher! We reached in and found Christmas Evil aka You Better Watch Out, a film which has been compared to Silent Night Deadly Night, and even got a glowing mention from trashy film maker John Waters.
Primal Rage
If you've ever seen 28 Days Later, the plot of Primal Rage may sound a little familiar, but on a much smaller scale... Sam Nash is a Florida college journalist is looking for a story. That quest leads him to Dr. Ethridge (Bo Svenson - with and awesome little mulleted ponytail, btw) who is conducting experiments on a baboon, trying to revitalize dead brain cells in the primate's brain. Sam can't get any face time with Dr. Ethridge, so his journalism buddy Duffy suggests that he break into the lab to get some recon for his story. Sam refuses to do it, so Duffy goes instead and unleashes a fury that rocks the small college campus.
The Prowler

In 1945, a returning WWII vet gets a "Dear John" letter from his girlfriend telling him that she just can't wait any longer for him to come home. Instead of doing what any sane person would do - namely moving on with your life and forgetting about such a hurtful bitch - he stalks her and her new man at a graduation dance. When they decide that the dance is too dead for their tastes, they slip out and go visit a lover's point to get a little action on. While the couple is starting to get hot and heavy, the vet makes his move and impales them on the business end of his pitchfork, leaving a single rose in the hand of his ex. The crime is never solved, and no graduation dances were ever held on the same location again... Not until 1980, that is, when it's time for a new graduation dance.
Phantom of the Mall: Eric’s Revenge

The mall... That icon of consumerism and setting for many great horror movies: "Dawn of the Dead", "Chopping Mall", and "Night of the Comet" just to name a few. Let's throw Midwood, and "Phantom of the Mall: Eric's Revenge" in with that group. When Harv Posner, a greedy developer wants to build a mall in the city of Midwood, he starts buying up all the property he can get and moves out all the families. When when one last family won't move out and holds up the whole project, they send a little muscle in to get the job done, burning down the home and the family inside - except for Eric. Now he's back and he wants Harv to pay the piper.
